During the last week of September and the beginning of October 2017, the Board of Trustees took on the challenge of giving the Parlor Kitchen a much needed facelift.

All of the cabinet doors and drawers were removed and hand-sanded.  The same was done on all of the hinges and handles, which were sanded and painted in black.  We had the pleasure of Linda Hendrickson's leadership, as well as, the assistance of Richard Holdsworth,  Mark Sullivan, his son Chris, Gus Segredo, and two day laborer's.

The doors/drawers were then given a fresh coat of light grey paint.  All of the wood paneling was also sanded and then given a new coat of stain.

In the end, all of the doors, drawers, hinges and handles were put back together.   The new kitchen has greatly lifted the spirits of all who have used it in the past, as well as, all of the new visitors to come.
