Church Family Picnic 2016

This past Saturday, July 16th, the Church Family met on a very sunny, low humidity day in Hempstead Lake State Park.  We met to celebrate and give thanks to our Creator for bringing us all together in peace and love.  Although we were not able to reserve the Pavilion this year, we had the best of all worlds, the weather, the food, the brotherhood, and the free use of the DJ hired by the people who did beat us out of the Pavilion!

Gus Segredo shopped for the food and cooked the baked beans, while Reggie Warren ably manned the two grills; one with hamburgers and hot dogs, and the other, with sweet corn on the cob.  As always Debra Bhuya delivered her drink concoction to slake our thirst, and the Andrews brought their potato salad and three bean salad as well.  Delicious watermelon finished us all off gloriously!

By the time 4:45pm rolled by all 40 family members had shared the celebration and had created the memories that would bring us back again next year!
